Joseph Chee, chairman and CEO of Nasdaq-listed Solana Company, announced plans to expand the firm's Hong Kong team from fewer than 10 members to approximately 30 personnel. The growth strategy aims to capitalize on rising demand for tokenization services in the region.
Chee noted that while major financial institutions in Hong Kong have begun exploring or launching tokenization projects, progress remains slower compared to the United States. Solana Company expects to assess the local market landscape within six months; if no dominant tokenization service provider emerges by then, the company intends to build its own dedicated team.
Last month, Solana Company was recognized as a key enterprise by Hong Kong's Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises. Its Hong Kong operations currently serve as the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters.
