The Russian State Duma's Financial Markets Committee has submitted proposed amendments to the Ministry of Finance for the second reading of a bill to legalize cryptocurrency transactions. The amendments include allowing peer-to-peer digital currency transactions with a cash limit of 600,000 rubles per transaction. Additionally, the proposal permits the transfer of digital currencies from custodial to non-custodial wallets and distinguishes between cryptocurrencies and stablecoins like USDT and USDC. The amendments also aim to expand the range of legally purchasable and tradable assets to include native tokens such as TRON and Solana, used for on-chain transaction fees. Furthermore, the minimum monthly purchase limit for non-qualified investors is proposed to be increased to 600,000 rubles.
