Pump.fun announced on October 19 that PreStocks, a Pre-IPO tokenization platform built on Solana, has officially launched on its platform. Users can now trade synthetic tokens tracking eight private companies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Anduril, Neuralink, Figure AI, Kalshi, Polymarket, and Oura. The integration allows these Pre-IPO tokens to serve as underlying pricing and liquidity pairing assets for new memecoin launches on PumpSwap.
PreStocks acquires unlisted equity through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and mints SPL synthetic assets under the Solana Token-2022 standard. According to official documentation, these tokens provide only economic price exposure and do not grant voting rights, dividends, or actual ownership. The platform remains unavailable to U.S. users. As of October 20, PreStocks reported assets under management of $22.37 million, with OpenAI tokens recording $6.47 million in 24-hour trading volume and Anthropic tokens seeing $2.92 million.
The partnership carries notable risks. In mid-May 2026, both Anthropic and OpenAI updated share transfer policies explicitly invalidating SPV-based acquisitions without board approval. Following those warnings, Anthropic's PreStocks token fell from approximately $1,400 to $842 (down over 26%), while OpenAI's token plunged from $1,984 to around $890 (down approximately 46%). For Pump.fun, the deal injects high-profile narratives into its fee-generating ecosystem; the team has bought back and burned 489.74 million PUMP tokens, representing 12.276% of total supply. The PUMP token showed no significant volatility after the announcement, hovering near $0.0044.
