Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO) has reduced its holdings in Meta and Oracle AI-related debt financing deals by approximately 50%, according to Bloomberg. The bond giant, which helped initiate the AI infrastructure financing boom that has accumulated roughly $500 billion in related debt, began trimming positions in some cases just months after purchase.
PIMCO funds had invested about $18 billion in Meta-related bonds in 2025 as a cornerstone investor in a debt financing deal enabling Meta to build a large data center project in Louisiana without burdening its balance sheet. The firm also placed $10 billion into Oracle-related deals. Filings show PIMCO executed the reductions while the bonds were trading at high prices.
