Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35-year-old Saudi national employed by OpenAI, pleaded not guilty in San Francisco federal court to charges of installing an eavesdropping device at the company's headquarters. The grand jury indicted him on Oct. 27 on one count of intercepting oral communications, carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted.
Alfozan has been held without bail since his arrest in early October. A judge ordered his next court appearance for Nov. 17.
