Former OpenAI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner has fully exited put option hedges against major semiconductor firms including Nvidia, AMD, Micron, TSMC, and ASML while adding approximately $315 million in new call options across AMD, Bloom Energy, CoreWeave, SK Hynix, SanDisk, Intel, and the Roundhill Memory ETF. The portfolio shift signals a removal of defensive positioning in favor of bullish bets on memory chips and AI computing infrastructure.
Aschenbrenner’s long equity portfolio remains highly concentrated in AI hardware, with SanDisk and Micron serving as his largest positions at 28% and 27.5% respectively. Other significant holdings include Bloom Energy (9.4%), TSMC (6.2%), and Nebius (6.1%), alongside stakes in Core Scientific, Applied Digital, Riot Platforms, and IREN. His private investments feature substantial allocations to Anthropic ($5 billion), Physical Intelligence ($1 billion), Fluidstack ($830 million), Source Foundry ($500 million), and MatX ($500 million).
