The LAPTOP Foundation will add 4 million LAPTOP tokens to the Aerodrome liquidity pool as incentives starting at 00:00 UTC on September 10, representing 0.4% of total supply. The team said the move is intended to improve market liquidity after heavy demand and front-running bots caused sharp price volatility following the creation of the initial liquidity pool at $0.05 per token.
The foundation also said two prediction events will settle as “YES,” triggering a burn of 10 million LAPTOP tokens within the first week of launch, equal to 1% of total supply. The team said LAPTOP had no presale and no token allocations to investors, influencers, or KOLs; founder-held tokens are locked for six months and vest over two years under Coinbase Custody, while a separate 30% prediction-mechanism allocation is locked for 12 months.
Hunter Biden said the LAPTOP Foundation’s X account has been suspended and the team is working to restore it, with updates to be posted on Medium in the interim. He said the foundation will not exit the LAPTOP project and previously stated he received no proceeds from LAPTOP.
