Justin Sun has filed a motion seeking sanctions against World Liberty Financial (WLFI) and its legal team for allegedly disclosing the entity's UAE citizenship months after litigation began. WLFI's initial filing listed only Florida citizenship, but amended ownership details in August to include 22 members across the UAE and other jurisdictions, arguing federal court lacked jurisdiction.
Sun invested $45 million in WLFI tokens and sued the organization for fraud in April, resulting in token freezes. Following the pending sanctions ruling, Sun plans to refile his lawsuit in California state court.
