JAN3 CEO Samson Mow announced that a 2.5 BTC test transaction has been sent to the Liquid Federation wallet, reducing the reserve gap to 600 BTC. The remaining 600 BTC will be transferred over the coming days, with all network operations continuing normally. As part of a phased recovery, Liquid Network confirmed that BTC-to-LBTC peg-out swaps were re-enabled last week. Users can now exchange BTC on Bitcoin for LBTC on Liquid at a 1:1 ratio through participating providers AquaBitcoin, BULLBITCOIN, and side_swap, which collectively handled 99% of peg-out volume prior to the incident. Normal federation peg-out operations remain under enhanced operational controls as security hardening continues and an independent security audit nears completion.
