AI GPU cloud platform Hyperbolic has raised $30 million in its Series A1 funding round, led by Walden Catalyst with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, and Salience Capital. The new capital will fund the development of Forge, a unified control plane designed to standardize heterogeneous bare-metal GPU clusters, as well as expand multi-cloud orchestration solutions and build the first Global Compute Grid.
Hyperbolic aims to consolidate fragmented GPU compute resources and improve utilization rates. The company currently serves over 250,000 AI builders and plans to further support compute trading and resale, enabling GPU capacity to be accessed on-demand similar to electricity. This follows a $12 million Series A round completed in December 2024, which was co-led by Polychain Capital and Variant with backing from IOSG Ventures, Wintermute, and GSR.
