MyDoge wallet, now surpassing 500,000 users without paid acquisition, has released its V3 update connecting the platform to applications built on DogeOS. The Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge are contributing intellectual property and development teams to the effort, with the Foundation continuing open-source support and community work while Labs focuses on products and commercial opportunities.
DogeOS launched its public testnet on Sept. 30, enabling developers to build Ethereum-style lending services, exchanges, and games using test DOGE. However, three weeks later, the platform's featured applications remain marked "coming soon," and its planned security link to the Dogecoin blockchain still requires further development. A proposed rule change allowing Dogecoin's network to verify mathematical proofs of application correctness remains in draft form, meaning users must currently rely on DogeOS's selected operators for security until the integration is implemented.
