CXMT recorded an 82% EBIT margin in the second quarter of 2026, overtaking SK Hynix at 76% and Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor business at 70%, according to the latest QUICK FactSet data. The result made CXMT the most profitable memory chipmaker among the companies tracked for the period.
CXMT’s revenue rose about tenfold from a year earlier, the fastest growth among CXMT, Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, Kioxia and SanDisk. Analysts linked the margin increase to shifting memory chip supply and demand, as Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron allocated more resources to high-bandwidth memory for AI servers, tightening standard DRAM supply and driving a sharp rise in DDR5 prices.
