Cryptocurrency derivatives markets saw $154 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with losses nearly evenly split between long and short positions. Long positions accounted for $76.57 million in liquidations, while short positions totaled $77.53 million, according to CoinGlass data.
Bitcoin led individual asset liquidations with $36.68 million wiped out, followed by Ethereum at $18.79 million. The single largest liquidation event occurred on Hyperliquid's XYZ:SP500-USD contract, totaling $5.80 million.
