Chainlink, alongside Hedera, Aptos, Ava Labs, and Stellar, has called on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to formally codify its Digital Asset Commodity Framework into binding rules. Taylor Barr of Chainlink stated that developers need long-term regulatory certainty and that locking in existing supervisory progress as formal rules will help the United States maintain its position as a global hub for digital asset innovation.
The joint initiative is led by Jackson Mueller. The five major blockchain projects argue that transforming the SEC's current framework from guidance into enforceable regulation would provide the stability needed to attract further development and investment in the U.S. crypto sector.
