The Casper Association has unveiled a comprehensive technical roadmap aimed at enhancing the Casper Network's infrastructure for real-world asset tokenization and AI-driven commerce. Announced on May 12, the roadmap, known as the Casper Manifest, targets the $16 trillion market for tokenized real-world assets by integrating Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility and ERC-3643 standards. This initiative seeks to bridge Web3 with traditional finance, facilitating the migration of Ethereum-based smart contracts to the Casper Network.
A significant aspect of the roadmap is the introduction of quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms by 2027, designed to run alongside existing public key cryptography. This move aims to ensure the network's resilience against future quantum computing threats. Additionally, the roadmap includes the launch of the X402 micropayments system in 2026, enabling machine-to-machine transactions using stablecoins. The Casper Network's phased upgrades will continue through 2027, with EVM compatibility and security token compliance expected by late 2026.
