Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has launched Mudwater, a physical and digital trading card collection built on the Solana blockchain. The project airdropped 6,551 Totems to BAYC and MAYC holders, enabling them to claim card packs. Each BAYC holder can redeem 10 packs, while each MAYC holder receives two packs. Every pack contains 10 cards, with 24 packs per box across a total supply of 10,000 boxes. The series features 120 artworks, including foils, numbered cards, and rare treasures with a distinctive "crushed ice" texture. Mudwater incorporates a 2.5% giveback mechanism on every transaction, using those funds to purchase $APE tokens that are then distributed to collectors based on their card holdings. The Totems, Packs, and Cards are currently tradable on OpenSea, with support for upgrading packs into cases and boxes planned for later release.
