Axis Robotics issued a statement addressing the $AXIS token sell-off on October 28-29, denying that team or investor tokens were sold. The company confirmed that all locked allocations—representing 83.5% of total supply—remain in vesting contracts co-managed with Binance.
The dumped tokens originated from the "Ecosystem" allocation within the initial circulating supply, delivered to non-crypto-native participants through a single OTC counterparty under written agreements containing lockup clauses. On-chain patterns showing rapid selling via hundreds of new addresses hours after delivery suggest the OTC counterparty may have violated its agreement by dumping tokens on public markets. Axis Robotics has suspended all cooperation with the counterparty and is pursuing legal remedies.
The statement follows allegations by on-chain detective ZachXBT that insider addresses dumped AXIS tokens, triggering an approximately 40% price crash.
