Aptos has announced the launch of KRW1, the world's first stablecoin pegged to the South Korean won (KRW). Developed by BDACS Korea, a digital asset infrastructure company, KRW1 will be deployed on the Aptos blockchain, marking its first integration with a non-EVM chain. Aptos plans to utilize KRW1 for real-world applications such as payments, cross-border remittances, and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).
