Aptos has activated its Encrypted Mempool on mainnet, enabling users to encrypt pending transactions until block finalization. The opt-in feature keeps transaction functions and input parameters private prior to execution while maintaining visibility of sender addresses and gas fees, significantly reducing exposure to Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) attacks.
The upgrade targets institutions, traders, and AI agents by preventing large orders from revealing trading intent before execution. Users can enable encryption on a per-transaction basis, ensuring sensitive trade data remains protected during the pending confirmation phase without compromising network transparency for essential metadata.
