Anthropic has launched its Claude Platform into general availability on Amazon Web Services (AWS) as of May 12, 2026. This move allows enterprises to access a comprehensive suite of AI tools directly through their existing AWS accounts, simplifying integration and billing processes. Key features include the Messages API and beta functionalities like Claude Managed Agents, which enable autonomous multi-step task handling, and real-time web search capabilities.
The launch strengthens the partnership between Anthropic and Amazon, which has invested $13 billion in the AI company. This includes access to up to 5 gigawatts of Amazon's Trainium compute capacity for training Anthropic's next-generation models. Over 100,000 organizations currently utilize Claude models on AWS Bedrock, and the new platform integration offers enhanced control and security through AWS IAM, positioning Anthropic as a significant player in the enterprise AI landscape.
