Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi announced the merger of the Alipay Business Group, Digital Payment Business Group, and Zhima Credit Department into a unified Alipay Business Group to accelerate AI agent commerce deployment. Wu Minzhi has been appointed president of the new entity and will concurrently serve as Ant Group's Chief Product Officer. The restructuring aims to consolidate technology, product, and ecosystem capabilities to strengthen merchant services. Over the past three years, Alipay has processed 300 million AI payments and upgraded over 10,000 services through its "Abao" personal assistant in just three months, while expanding offline payment market share via its tap-to-pay infrastructure.
