Personal AI assistant startup Tab has officially emerged from stealth with a $300 million valuation, backed by investors including SV Angel, Valar Ventures, and American Spirit. Founded earlier this year by Brennan Erbz, Stafford Schlitt, and Ammar Amdani, the platform enables users to execute everyday tasks such as ordering groceries, booking travel, and selecting gifts through text commands via iMessage or WhatsApp.
The assistant operates with its own phone number, computer, and wallet, currently growing primarily through word-of-mouth ahead of planned product launches. Tab emphasizes strict privacy safeguards, stating that user data is not used for AI training, bank card information is stored in an inaccessible vault, and all irreversible actions require explicit user confirmation.
