Van der Poppe highlights HYPE for its unique market behavior, which reduces portfolio correlation during volatility. He increased his position in Wormhole at $0.0160, despite acknowledging aggressive timing, and remains optimistic about its long-term potential. Although he reduced his Renzo holdings after a 150% surge, he still sees value in buying dips. Conversely, Van der Poppe warns against aggressive entry into Optimism following its recent rally, citing potential struggles if Bitcoin pulls back. He notes that high correlations among altcoins mean a 3-4% Bitcoin drop could lead to 15-25% declines in altcoins. As a result, he recommends maintaining a larger cash position to capitalize on future market pullbacks.
