A Chinese national was extradited from the Netherlands to the United States on charges of participating in an international cryptocurrency investment fraud conspiracy that targeted U.S. citizens, according to a U.S. Department of Justice announcement. The scheme, carried out through scam compounds located in Cambodia, involved millions of dollars and affected 174 identified American victims. The suspect made his first court appearance following extradition and has been ordered detained. His arraignment is scheduled for November 30 at the federal district court in downtown Los Angeles.
