Hajimi is a memecoin on BNB Chain, launched through the four.meme platform and named after a Chinese internet cat meme. Its contract holds a fixed supply of one billion tokens, all of them already in circulation. People are searching for it because one trading session roughly tripled its market value.

Hajimi closed Sunday 6 September at $0.060772 on CoinGecko's Hajimi market page, against $0.060926 read straight from the PancakeSwap pool at the midnight block and $0.06093 on a second centralized venue's hourly series.
Three feeds, a spread of 0.26%, and a session gain of roughly 251% from Saturday's close near $0.0173.
The six sessions before that one ran between minus 1% and plus 7%. So the entire story lives inside a single day, and that is the first thing you should hold onto.
What Is Hajimi?
Hajimi is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain built around a Chinese internet meme about cats.
The word is the Mandarin rendering of a Japanese lyric, はちみ, meaning honey, lifted from a looped song clip that Chinese users attached to cat videos until the sound and the animal became one joke.
You can read the etymology in Chinese Idioms' explainer of the ha ji mi meme and in the entry for 哈基米 on Wiktionary. Neither is a crypto source, and that matters. The meme long predates the token.
A four-call read of the contract confirms the row above. name() and symbol() both return 哈基米, decimals() returns 18, and totalSupply() returns exactly one billion tokens.
That sounds cosmetic, and it isn't. A token whose only on-chain identifier is three Chinese characters is very easy to imitate, and dozens of deployers have done exactly that.
Why Did Hajimi Become Popular?
A perpetual futures contract on a major offshore derivatives venue went live at 07:15 UTC on Sunday 6 September, capped at 3x leverage. The token's intraday high, timestamped 07:42:50 UTC that same morning at $0.088229, lands 27 minutes later.
The pool is the whole constraint here. Think of it as a village well that served a few hundred people fine for eleven months, until a listing pointed a city at it and the price of water changed in an afternoon.
The move wasn't gradual. Sunday-bar volume came in at $54.50 million on CoinGecko, roughly twenty times the two-million-dollar daily pace of the preceding week, against a market cap of $60.77 million at the close.
A volume-to-cap ratio of 0.90 means the token turned over almost its entire market value in a day.
One trade shows you what that looked like from the inside.
The Turkish outlet coin-turk reported that an MEV bot bought 9.89 million tokens for about $200,000 near two cents and sold minutes later at an average near $0.058, clearing roughly $378,000 after $26,800 in validator bribes and $4,200 in priority fees.
Treat that as a secondary report rather than a verified on-chain fact. What it illustrates is real enough. When a listing lands on a pool this thin, the fastest capital in the room takes the first slice.
How Does the Hajimi Token Work?
There is no mechanism to explain. The contract is a plain BEP-20 with 18 decimals and a totalSupply() of exactly 1,000,000,000 tokens. No staking, no reflection tax, no burn, no vesting cliff, no treasury emissions.
Because the supply is fully circulating, market cap and fully diluted value are the same number. At the Sunday close that number was $60.77 million. You don't need to model an unlock schedule here, because there isn't one.
The launch route was four.meme, a permissionless BNB Chain launchpad whose token page for this contract is public. Anyone can deploy through it, and that is why the same platform produced the cluster of copycats covered further down.
What a four-call read does not tell you is the part that costs people money. It confirms the name, the symbol, the decimals and the supply. It says nothing about an owner address retaining a mint function, a blacklist or a pause switch.
Reading four functions is like a VIN check on a used car. It proves the car is the car, and it tells you nothing about the brakes.
Our page on Niu Lai, another BNB Chain meme coin walks through the same contract-level checks on a different token, and the pattern of what these launches do and do not include is consistent enough to be useful.

The table is doing more than a size comparison. Bitcoin's 30-session gain of 23.73% came out of dozens of sessions grinding in one direction. Hajimi's came out of a few hours.
Those are two different kinds of number that look identical on a screen, and confusing them is how retail traders end up buying the top of a listing pop.
What Can Move the Hajimi Price?
The Leverage Cap on the New Perpetual
The contract launched at a 3x cap. A cap that tight works like a governor bolted to an engine, and it signals that the venue's risk desk reads the underlying as thin.
If that cap rises, position sizes rise with it and volatility follows. If the venue pulls the listing, the flow that created the move leaves the way it arrived.
BNB Chain Activity and the Price of BNB
The main pool is quoted in wrapped BNB, so the dollar price is a BNB price multiplied by a BNB exchange rate.
BNB closed Sunday 6 September at $752.53, down 1.86% on the session but up 9.79% over seven sessions, with its 50-day average 1.49% above the 200-day after a golden cross on Thursday 3 September.
How Much Room the Meme Cycle Has Left
Chinese-language memecoins on BNB Chain have run in waves since late 2025. A wave lifts the whole cohort and then leaves most of it below its starting line. Watching the cohort rather than the single token is the more useful signal.
Concentration Among the Largest Holders
GeckoTerminal put the top ten wallets at 66.72% of supply at 05:58 UTC on Monday 7 September, across 65,054 holders in total.
Some of that is likely exchange custody following the listings. Some of it is not, and there is no clean way to separate the two without labelled addresses.
Depth in the Main Pool
At the midnight block the PancakeSwap v2 pool held 1,893.03 wrapped BNB against 23,381,774 tokens. That is a real pool by memecoin standards and a tiny one by any other standard. Depth decides how far a single order pushes the price.
Risks of Buying or Trading Hajimi
Ten Wallets Control Two Thirds of the Supply
At 66.72% in the top ten, a coordinated exit from three or four addresses would overwhelm the pool. The pool contract itself holds only around 2.3% of supply, so the concentration is in wallets rather than in liquidity.
The Entire Move Rests on One Session
Six sessions of noise, then one session of plus 251%, then nothing else. A price built that way has no tested support beneath it, because no level below the spike has been defended for more than a few hours.
The Catalyst Is Outside Your Reach
The venue that listed the perpetual is an offshore derivatives platform. If you can't access it, you can't trade the instrument that moved the price, and you're left holding the spot leg of somebody else's position.
A Token Named "5x Perpetual Contract" Is Still Spot
One of the clones carries a name that translates as "Hajimi on-chain 5x perpetual contract." It is a plain token.
It offers no leverage, no funding rate and no margin. Buying it because the name says perpetual is a category error, and the name exists to invite one.
At Least Fifteen Tokens Share the Name
A DexScreener search for the three characters, run at 16:10 UTC on Monday 7 September, returns 哈基米 tokens on BNB Chain, Solana, Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain.
Sorted by volume, one address carries millions and the rest carry four-figure liquidity. Sorting by name or by liquidity alone will hand you the wrong one.
Turnover Runs Far Ahead of Pool Depth
Rolling 24-hour DEX volume against pooled liquidity read between roughly 6x and 10x across Monday 7 September on DexScreener, depending on the read time.
Ratios in that band mean the token trades many times its own depth each day, and a single large seller sets the price for everyone.
How to Research Hajimi Safely
Start with the contract, not the chart. Paste 0x82ec31d69b3c289e541b50e30681fd1acad24444 into a block explorer and confirm the supply and the decimals yourself rather than trusting a listing page.
Sort candidate pairs by volume and by holder count, never by liquidity. Liquidity is the cheapest number on a token page to stage, because a deployer can seed a pool and pull it back out.
Check how old the pool is. Hajimi's main pool dates to Tuesday 7 October 2025, so it survived an earlier cycle rather than appearing last week. A pool created hours ago deserves a different level of suspicion.
Compare two independent feeds before you trust a price. The three used above agreed within 0.26%, and any spread much wider than that usually means you're reading two timestamps rather than two markets.
Read the quote asset. This pool trades against wrapped BNB, so a falling BNB drags the dollar price down even with the token flat in BNB terms.
Finally, ignore any figure you can't reproduce. One outlet printed a 24-hour range extending to $0.145 that no feed reproduces.
Our write-up of Cash Cat on Robinhood Chain hit the same class of problem, and the fix is always the same. Go back to the chain.
Is Hajimi a Good Investment?
The honest framing is that this is a bet on attention, priced after the attention already arrived. You'd be buying a token whose fair value nobody can model, at roughly three and a half times its Saturday price.
You would be buying into a holder structure where ten addresses control two thirds of the float.
That doesn't make it unbuyable. Memecoins are a real speculative category and traders make money in them. It does mean position sizing is the only risk control you have, because there are no fundamentals to fall back on when the chart breaks.
If you do take a position, size it as money you can lose in full, and set your exit before you enter rather than after. The people who did well on Sunday were the ones who had already decided where they were selling.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Hajimi mean?
It comes from はちみ, a Japanese lyric meaning honey, in a looped song clip Chinese internet users attached to cat videos. The sound became shorthand for the cat itself.
How much of the Hajimi supply do the top ten wallets hold?
66.72% of the one billion tokens. That concentration is the main structural risk on this token, because a pool this thin cannot absorb a single large holder deciding to leave.
What is the Hajimi contract address?
It is 0x82ec31d69b3c289e541b50e30681fd1acad24444 on BNB Chain. The contract returns 哈基米 for both name and symbol, so any Latin ticker you see was assigned by a listing venue.
Why do so many tokens share the Hajimi name?
The meme is public and launchpads are permissionless, so anyone can deploy a token carrying those three characters. Sorting by traded volume separates the one with a market from the imitations.
Final Thoughts
Hajimi is a fixed-supply BEP-20 with a clean contract read, an eleven-month-old pool, a public meme behind it and one very loud Sunday.
The things to track from here are narrow and countable. The leverage cap on that perpetual, the top-ten wallet share, and how much depth the main BNB pool keeps once the listing flow thins out.
If the concentration falls and the pool deepens, the move has a chance of holding.
If turnover collapses back toward the two-million-dollar daily pace of late August while ten wallets hold two thirds of the supply, the price follows it down. Watch the pool, not the chart.
