IOST (IOST) Price Prediction 2026-2030: Vesting Outlook

Key Points

IOST price prediction: base case $0.00085-$0.0019 for 2026 and $0.0020-$0.0045 by 2030, with 12.39 billion IOST still to vest by March 2030.

IOST (IOST) closed mid-October 2026 at $0.001055 with 12.39 billion new tokens still due from one revocable vesting contract through March 2030. On that supply calendar, this IOST price prediction sets the 2026 base case at $0.00085-$0.0019 and the 2030 base case at $0.0020-$0.0045, using only levels drawn from IOST's daily closes.

That contract holds ten schedules and has released 7.908 billion IOST since March 2025, 37.09% of the 21.32 billion minted for IOST's BNB Chain launch. It vests about 444 million more every 30 days, equal to 1.23% of CoinMarketCap's circulating count of 36.04 billion. Its owner is a multisig that needs three of four signatures, and that owner can revoke any schedule.

What Is IOST?

IOST relaunched in March 2025 as a BNB Chain Layer 2 for payments and tokenized real-world assets, according to its launch announcement. Its coin runs on IOST's own chain and as a BNB Chain token, and the BNB Chain side holds the vesting contract this forecast turns on.

IOST Price History

CoinMarketCap's record close for IOST is $0.1268 from late January 2018, eight days after its first daily close there. Each bull-cycle peak since has closed lower than the one before, at $0.0800 in mid-April 2021 and $0.01418 in mid-March 2024.

A second peak of $0.01138 in early December 2024 was 10.79 times the mid-October close, and lower high closes followed. IOST closed at $0.008304 in early January 2025, $0.004491 in late July 2025 and $0.002489 in early December 2025. Its highest close of 2026 to mid-October came in early January at $0.002037, and by mid-August 2026 it had fallen to an all-time closing low of $0.000532.

September 2026 brought IOST's biggest one-day gain in the year to mid-October. It closed up 121.76% on a single day in early September at $0.00189, a 255.19% climb from the August low close, and gave back 46.38% the next day.

After a mid-September low close of $0.000723, IOST jumped 41.04% in a single day to its mid-October close of $0.001055, measured on the prior close. That close stands 98.25% above the all-time closing low and 44.19% below the early-September high close.

How Does IOST's Vesting Work?

IOST minted 21.32 billion BNB Chain tokens in March 2025 and moved them within minutes into a single vesting contract that splits them into ten schedules. Five schedules vest in 30-day slices and five node-reward tranches vest by the second, and a vested amount waits in the contract until it's released to its beneficiary.

By the mid-October close the contract had released 7.908 billion IOST. Another 1.025 billion had vested without being claimed. The remaining 12.39 billion, 58.10% of the 21.32 billion, had yet to vest. About 444 million IOST vest every 30 days if the schedules run as set and none is revoked. The year-two node tranche supplies 242.5 million of that pace until it ends in early March 2027.

Node rewards take 60% of the 21.32 billion, or 12.79 billion, in five yearly tranches running from March 2025 to March 2030. The first two tranches carry half of that pool, so node vesting is heaviest at the start.

The other 40% follows the linear release explained in how crypto vesting and cliffs work, and the team's 3% began vesting in March 2026 after a 12-month cliff. The contract doesn't carry labels, so these names come from matching each schedule's amount and duration to the allocation table in IOST's economic model, an inference that fits all ten.

Method: the figures come from the vesting contract at 0x0bb6dc29057a4c224f6ceccbf67d7966940931e8 on BNB Chain, queried schedule by schedule at the last block before the mid-October close. The revoke and mint tests below are simulated calls at that block, made from each owner multisig and from an unrelated address.

Check: the contract held 13.41 billion IOST at that block, exactly the ten schedules' total minus everything released.

IOST Technical Analysis

IOST's 50-day average crossed above its 200-day on CoinMarketCap's closes in mid-October 2026, the first cross of either kind since a death cross in late February 2025. It printed on the close before the jump, so the 41.04% day didn't create it.

The cross is a narrow one, with the 50-day at $0.0008564 and the 200-day at $0.0008447 on the mid-October close, a gap of 1.38% measured on the 200-day. IOST's previous golden cross and death cross pair came 81 days apart, from early December 2024 to late February 2025.

Before September 2026, IOST hadn't closed above its 200-day since late July 2025. The mid-October close stands 24.86% above that average, so the two averages near $0.00085 form the first support and the mid-September low close of $0.000723 the next. Resistance starts at the early-September high close of $0.00189 and then the early-January 2026 high close of $0.002037.

How Much IOST Is Still to Vest?

Node rewards account for 7.471 billion of the IOST still to vest, spread across four yearly tranches that end in early March of each year from 2027 to 2030.

Allocation (matched by amount)
Still to vest
Vesting ends
Node rewards (60%)
7.471 billion
Early March 2030
Airdrops and stakedrops (20%)

Mid-February 2029
Team (3%)
515.2 million
Mid-February 2029
Developer grants (5%)
503.4 million
Late February 2028

On those schedules, 5.10 billion IOST vests in the 12 months after the mid-October close, 14.16% of CoinMarketCap's circulating count. The 30-day pace eases to about 414.6 million in early March 2027, when the smaller year-three node tranche takes over.

Every one of the ten schedules is revocable. A simulated revoke from the owner multisig went through on all ten at the mid-October close, and the same call from an unrelated address failed. After a revoke the unvested balance stays in the contract, where the owner can withdraw it.

The BNB Chain token answers to a second three-of-four multisig, which can mint new IOST up to a 90 billion cap. A simulated mint from that owner succeeded and the same call from any other address failed, with the token's supply at 22.37 billion on the mid-October close.

Beyond the March 2025 issue, that owner minted 140 million IOST in May 2025 and 913.8 million in June 2025 to two unlabelled addresses.

IOST's supply counts don't reconcile either, which matters if you weigh circulating supply vs total supply on this coin. CoinMarketCap's circulating count rose 14.72 billion from March 2025 to the mid-October close, against 7.908 billion released by the vesting contract.

Neither BNB Chain contract, the native chain's supply data nor CoinMarketCap's own series accounts for the other 6.81 billion, and IOST's bridge contracts are the channel left unchecked. The native chain reported 32.52 billion IOST in late October 2026, a figure kept apart from the BNB Chain supply because bridged coins can show up on both chains.

IOST Price Prediction 2026

This IOST crypto price prediction for the rest of 2026 starts with 1.168 billion IOST due to vest between the mid-October close and the end of the year. IOST's 2026 base case runs from the 50-day average of $0.000856 to the early-September high close of $0.001890.

Scenario

The bull case stops at $0.002037 because no 2026 close to mid-October went higher, and reaching it takes a 93.11% rise from the mid-October close. On the downside, the 2026 bear range bottoms at the mid-September low close, 31.47% under the mid-October close.

IOST Price Prediction 2027

In 2027 about 5.052 billion IOST vests on the contract's schedules, the largest calendar-year total left. IOST's 2027 base case runs $0.001054-$0.002037, from the mid-October close to the early-January 2026 high close, and it asks buyers to absorb a full year of slices without losing ground.

IOST's 2027 bear range runs $0.000532-$0.001055, from the all-time closing low to the mid-October close. Its bull range runs $0.002036-$0.002489 and tops out at the early-December 2025 high close, the highest close in the year to mid-October 2026.

IOST Price Prediction 2028

The developer-grant and PayFi schedules finish in late February 2028, and the year-three node tranche ends in early March 2028. From then the 30-day pace drops to about 326.9 million IOST, 21.14% below the pace that starts in March 2027.

IOST's 2028 base case runs $0.001889-$0.002489, from the early-September 2026 high close to the early-December 2025 high close. Its bear range of $0.000532-$0.000845 runs from the all-time closing low to the 200-day average, and its bull range of $0.002488-$0.004491 reaches the late-July 2025 high close.

IOST Price Prediction 2030

For 2029, IOST's base case runs $0.002036-$0.004491, from the early-January 2026 high close to the late-July 2025 high close. Its 2029 bear range is $0.000532-$0.001055, and its bull range of $0.004490-$0.008305 ends at the early-January 2025 high close.

That bull ceiling follows one rule. This forecast keeps every range within ten times the mid-October close, so the $0.01138 peak of December 2024 stays history. IOST set its record in its listing month and each cycle peak since has closed lower, which leaves no growth multiple from past cycles to scale up.

An IOST price prediction for 2030 keeps the 2029 ranges, a base case of $0.002036-$0.004491 inside a full range of $0.000532-$0.008305. The last node tranche finishes vesting in early March 2030, so 2030 is the year the contract's scheduled supply runs out.

What About 2035 and 2040?

An IOST price prediction for 2035 or 2040 would reach years past the last vesting slice, so this section gives the yearly growth each target needs from the mid-October close to the end of either year and forecasts nothing.

Target

The rates cover price only, and the supply they'd apply to grows by 12.39 billion IOST by early March 2030 if every schedule runs to the end.

Can IOST Reach $1?

No range in this forecast gets IOST to $1, because a dollar is 948 times the mid-October close. Reaching it would take 110.71% growth a year to the end of 2035, or 62.05% a year to the end of 2040.

At $1, CoinMarketCap's circulating count of 36.04 billion IOST would carry a market value of $36.04 billion, against about $38 million at the mid-October close. The highest bound in this forecast is $0.008305, less than 1% of that target.

Is IOST Coin a Good Investment?

IOST coin is a high-risk holding for as long as the vesting runs at full pace, because its supply has grown faster than buyers have absorbed it. Since vesting began in March 2025, CoinMarketCap's circulating count has grown 69.07% while the price has fallen 75.71% from its early-March 2025 close.

The mid-October golden cross is the first sign of steady demand in more than a year and a half, but it rests on a 1.38% gap between two averages. That view changes if the cross holds into March 2027, when the slower year-three node tranche starts, because the market would then have absorbed the heaviest stretch of the calendar.

How to Get Exposure to IOST

Phemex delisted the IOSTUSDT perpetual on 11 August 2026 under a notice published six days earlier. The older 100IOST/USD perpetual from April 2022 is delisted too, and IOST has no order-book spot pair on Phemex.

IOST tokens still circulate on IOST's own chain and on BNB Chain, and the IOST price page on Phemex keeps tracking the coin. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.

  1. Open the IOST price page on Phemex to follow the coin's price.

  2. Create a Phemex account and complete the identity checks it asks for.

  3. Deposit USDT and move it into your futures account.

  4. Choose a listed perpetual such as BTC/USDT and set a stop-loss before you place the order.

What Are the Risks of Holding IOST?

Three Signatures Can Rewrite the Calendar

Every range you see here assumes the owner multisig never revokes a schedule. A revoke would put the unvested IOST under the owner's control, where it could leave the contract at any size and on any date, so the 12.39 billion can reach the market slower or faster than the table shows.

New Supply Outruns a $38 Million Market Value

Held at the mid-October market value of about $38 million, the 5.10 billion IOST due in the 12 months after that close would cut the value per token by 12.41% if all of it reached circulation. Vesting adds that supply whatever the price does, so if you hold IOST, flat demand means a lower price.

One-Day Spikes Have Faded

IOST closed up 40% or more on two days in the year to mid-October 2026. The first came in early September and faded within six days to the mid-September low close, 61.75% below the spike's close.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will IOST reach $1?

Not within this forecast's ranges, which top out at $0.008305. A dollar IOST is 948 times the mid-October close and would need 62.05% growth a year from that close to the end of 2040, or 110.71% a year to the end of 2035.

What is IOST coin?

IOST is a blockchain that relaunched in March 2025 as a BNB Chain Layer 2 for tokenization and payments. Its coin exists on IOST's native chain and on BNB Chain, where one contract sets the release of new supply until March 2030.

When does the IOST vesting end?

If the schedules run as set and none is revoked, the last node-reward tranche finishes vesting in early March 2030. The PayFi and developer-grant schedules end in late February 2028, with the airdrop, DAO and team schedules following in mid-February 2029.

What is the IOST price prediction for 2030?

IOST's 2030 base case is $0.002036-$0.004491, from the early-January 2026 high close to the late-July 2025 high close. The full 2030 range runs $0.000532-$0.008305, and every scheduled vesting slice has landed by early March 2030.

Can IOST's vesting be revoked?

Yes, by the contract's owner, a multisig needing three of four signatures. A simulated revoke succeeded on all ten schedules at the mid-October close, and the unvested balance would then become withdrawable by that owner.

Bottom Line

IOST's price outlook rests on a schedule its owner can change with three signatures. Until early March 2027 that schedule adds new coins faster than at any later point, so the mid-October breakout needs fresh buyers every 30 days to hold its level.

A close above $0.00189 while the slices keep landing would be the first evidence that demand can beat the calendar. A revoke would reset every range on this page.
