Who Is Andrej Radonjic? The Wynd Labs CEO Behind Grass

Key Points

Andrej Radonjic is the CEO of Wynd Labs, the company that built Grass. What Wynd Labs does, and why GRASS can still be minted.

Andrej Radonjic is the CEO of Wynd Labs, which built the Grass network, and Grass's token can still be minted by a multisig that needs 2 approvals. Grass sells public web data to AI labs, which it gathers through millions of people's home internet connections.

Grass's structure post from early October 2026 puts its intellectual property under a foundation with no owners. The GRASS token tests how far that framing reaches. Grass told holders in July 2026 that its USDC reward payout added "zero net new emissions", and that held for the payout. It says nothing about the GRASS mint authority, which stayed live in late October with no time lock.

Who Is Andrej Radonjic?

Andrej Radonjic runs Wynd Labs, the engineering company that built Grass and still handles its core engineering for a fee. On 28 September 2026 Grass published Radonjic's essay "Abundant Intelligence" under the byline "Andrej, CEO of Wynd Labs".

Grass is a decentralized physical infrastructure network, or DePIN, built from people's home internet connections. Users install an app and earn rewards for bandwidth they don't use, and Grass's homepage counts more than 8.5 million users worldwide.

Andrej Radonjic's Career: Building Grass at Wynd Labs

Radonjic's September essay calls training data "our first product" and sets the long-term goal as giving AI "a live connection to the world's information". The same essay describes the infrastructure behind Grass as exabyte-scale.

The essay names a Contents API as the first step, and it shipped in early October 2026. The Grass Contents API turns any public web address into clean HTML, Markdown or text for AI models, and it routes requests through the Grass network to reach pages that ordinary web infrastructure struggles to open.

Grass applies the token-for-infrastructure model behind the use cases of DePIN networks to spare home bandwidth, and Radonjic's essay counts on AI labs paying for what that bandwidth can reach.

What Does Wynd Labs Do?

Radonjic's Wynd Labs builds Grass's software as a paid contractor, and companies owned by the Grass Foundation hold the network, its intellectual property and its revenue.

Grass's structure post from early October 2026 spells out that split. It names the legal entity behind Radonjic's company as Half Space Labs Ltd. and says the company "isn't a subsidiary of the Grass Foundation". By the post's account, Wynd Labs owns no rights to Grass intellectual property and receives no revenue from Grass products.

Before the GRASS token launch, Wynd Labs "transferred all of its IP to Grass OpCo Ltd." The post adds that any IP it develops as a contractor belongs to Grass entities.

Grass OpCo Ltd. runs the protocol, the residential proxy network and the rewards and staking programs. Grass DataCo Ltd. supplies public web data to AI labs, and Grass SearchCo Ltd. builds the Live Context Retrieval products. The structure post describes the Foundation that owns all three as having no members or shareholders, with an independent supervisor and three independent directors overseeing it.

Grass has published roughly what it pays Radonjic's company. Its July 2026 token-holder recap says "roughly 20% of total first-half 2026 spend was paid to Wynd Labs primarily for costs relating to headcount (45 FTE)". The same recap puts Grass's ongoing cash costs at about $2 million to $3 million a month, most of it infrastructure.

That recap gives first-half 2026 revenue as both $17 million and $18 million, and our Grass (GRASS) price prediction for 2026-2030 covers the revenue and the token's price levels.

Who Can Mint New GRASS?

Grass says its Stage 2 payout added no new GRASS, but the token's mint authority is still live and sits with a multisig that needs 2 of its 4 members to act.

Grass's claim holds for that payout. Grass pays Stage 2 rewards in USDC for bandwidth shared between 14 October 2024 and 8 June 2026, so the recap could say the distribution "introduces zero net new emissions and leaves the circulating supply of GRASS completely unaltered".

Method: the GRASS mint account on Solana names a mint authority with no private key, an address off the ed25519 curve. Recomputed from its seeds, that address equals vault 0 of a Squads v4 multisig set to 2 approvals and a 0-second time lock. Three of the 4 members can vote, the multisig has no config authority and the token has no freeze authority.

A simulated mint of 1 GRASS signed by that multisig's vault succeeded in late October, and the same request signed by one member's own key failed. The simulation ran with signature checks switched off, so it tests which signer the token program will accept. The vault's request raised the supply by exactly 1 GRASS, and the member's request returned an owner-mismatch error.

In practice a real mint needs 2 voting members to approve a vault transaction, and with a zero time lock it can execute as soon as they do. The multisig's last activity before the late-October close came in mid-October 2026, and none of it changed the threshold, the time lock or the members.

The supply stood 7,243 GRASS under the 1 billion that the Grass Foundation's tokenomics page adds up, so it had not run past the documented total. That page splits the billion six ways, from 30 million for router rewards to 252 million for early investors. The vault that serves as the mint authority also held 199.7 million GRASS in late October 2026, 19.97% of the supply.

So "zero net new emissions" is a promise about one payout from the network Radonjic's company built, and the token's code sets no ceiling of its own. The only gate on new GRASS is 2 multisig approvals with no waiting period.

Grass's case for its design rests on structure, with the IP and the revenue held by a foundation that has no owners. Neither Grass's structure post nor its tokenomics page mentions the mint authority, so it's a lever of control that framing doesn't cover.

ORE is another Solana token whose mint authority is still live, and there the authority pays newly minted ORE to miners.

If you hold GRASS, the risk is dilution, and the gap between circulating supply and total supply is where it shows up first.

How Do You Trade GRASS on Phemex?

GRASS trades on Phemex as the GRASS/USDT spot pair, which carries no delisting notice. Phemex's GRASS/USDT perpetual came off the platform under a notice in August 2026.

  1. Open a Phemex account and complete the identity verification it asks for.

  2. Deposit USDT into your Phemex account from a wallet you control.

  3. Open the GRASS/USDT spot market and place a market or limit order.

A spot purchase holds the token itself, so any new mint would dilute every GRASS you hold. Phemex also lists crypto futures, where positions use leverage and Phemex closes one automatically if losses eat through its margin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wynd Labs?

Wynd Labs is the trading name of Half Space Labs Ltd., the company Andrej Radonjic leads as CEO. It built Grass, handed its IP to Grass OpCo before GRASS launched, and works for the Grass Foundation's companies as a paid service provider.

Is Grass crypto legit?

Grass runs a real data business with an opt-in network, published token-holder reports and a token that trades on Phemex spot. The open question is supply, since a 2-of-4 multisig with no time lock can still create new GRASS.

Is Andrej Radonjic the Grass crypto founder?

He leads the company that built it. Andrej Radonjic signs his September 2026 essay as CEO of Wynd Labs, the engineering company behind Grass. The Grass Foundation's subsidiaries own and run the Grass network itself.

Can new GRASS tokens still be minted?

Yes. In late October 2026 the mint authority belonged to a Squads multisig vault, and a simulated 1 GRASS mint from it went through. Supply sat 7,243 GRASS below the documented 1 billion, so no mint had pushed it past that total.
