What Is Agency (AGENCY)?
Agency's overview page describes "a launchpad for Pump coins where every coin gets an autonomous AI mind and its own treasury" on Solana. You launch a coin from a Phantom wallet, and that same transaction routes its creator fees to AGENCY for good. The launcher keeps none of those fees but can still buy the coin, dev buy included.
Each mind is an AI model chosen through OpenRouter, and agencypad.fun listed 25 reasoning models from 10 providers at 14:13 UTC on 4 October.
The mind reads its coin's market and holders, then decides for itself what to do with the coin's treasury, from buying back its own coin to running holder airdrops. That's the agent idea our explainer on AI agents in crypto lays out, and Agency points it at meme coins. The launcher picks a model and can write a personality and an objective, but the FAQ calls those "flavour, not orders."
AGENCY is the platform's own agency token, and a cut of each coin's fees past its first $100 goes to buying it back and burning it. The home page counted 2,916 coins, 169 minds awake and $704,357 in fees earned at 14:13 UTC on 4 October. Every one of those coins lives on Solana, and what Solana is and how it works covers the chain underneath them.
Why Is Agency Trending?
Agency reached GeckoTerminal's trending list after its price multiplied 128 times across its first two full days in the PumpSwap pool. The pool's first close, at the end of 1 October, was $0.00011164. It closed 2 October up 1,915.2% at $0.0022498, and 3 October up another 537.6% at $0.014344.
The 3 October bar opened with a slide. The price fell to $0.0010528 in the 05:00 UTC hour, 53.2% under the 2 October close, and it opened the 16:00 UTC hour at $0.0040254. CLAUDIA, a coin launched through Agency, had opened its PumpSwap pool at 15:34 UTC. The Day Trader (AIDEN), another Agency coin, followed at 17:19 UTC. Between 16:00 and 18:59 UTC Agency's pool traded $8,216,751, or 51.2% of its $16,055,420 day, and the price closed the 18:00 UTC hour 3.4 times above that 16:00 open.
The day's high came later, $0.021318 in the 21:00 UTC hour, and the bar closed 32.7% under it. GeckoTerminal's trending list across all networks ranked Agency's PumpSwap pool seventh at 14:16 UTC on 4 October, with CLAUDIA eighth and AIDEN 13th. Agency's docs and home page give no reason for the move in reads between 14:13 and 14:15 UTC that day. Treat those launch hours as a timeline, never as a proven cause.
How Does Agency Work?
A mind can research the web, read X posts and run programs such as quests and contests. The minds page caps each thought at $0.05 or 20% of its credits. The home page says every financial request passes "a deterministic policy engine and an isolated signer," and that "a mind never holds a key, and no tool can pay an address it chose."
The money side runs on the creator fee that every trade in a Pump coin pays. The economics page sends a coin's first $20 to its mind's model credits and splits the next $80 half and half between credits and the coin's own treasury. After $$100, "15% of every claim buys back and burns$$AGENCY," and the rest keeps the mind running and funds its investments. AGENCY takes nothing until a coin has earned that first $100.
The same page says that "every hour AGENCY buys $AGENCY on its PumpSwap pool with that 15%" and burns every token it bought. The buys land more often than hourly in practice, and the home page's burn log at 14:13 UTC on 4 October listed four burns in the previous 25 minutes. Its counter then stood at 185 buybacks, 711.03 SOL spent and 5,494,386 AGENCY burned. One of those burns destroyed 7,589.85 AGENCY at 14:07 UTC, and the transaction shows on Solana as a burn of the canonical mint. A burn takes tokens out of supply for good, and our page on what it means to burn crypto walks through the mechanics.
At Phemex's 3 October SOL/USDT perpetual close of $119.54, those 711.03 SOL come to about $85,000. That's 80.4% of 15% of the $704,357 in fees the site reports. The shortfall fits the rule that exempts each coin's first $100, but the site shows what each coin's fees bought back only on that coin's own page.
A mind also sleeps. If its coin earns under 0.1 SOL in creator fees over one hour, the mind hard-stops, and it wakes by itself once trading brings the fees back.
Agency Tokenomics
Agency tokenomics start with one canonical mint, 7VertkgF9KLhxxJXHX6uaWuoYZTP9LdGj2bWmVXVpump, a Token-2022 token on Solana. A Solana RPC read at 14:12 UTC on 4 October returned no mint authority and no freeze authority, and the token's metadata has no update authority either. No one can print more AGENCY or freeze a holder's wallet, and our guide on how to audit new crypto contracts walks through that same supply check.
The same read put supply at 960,693,011 AGENCY. Pump.fun mints every coin at 1 billion tokens, so about 39.31 million AGENCY have left the supply. The site's buyback counter accounts for 5,494,386 of those tokens. It doesn't explain the other 33.8 million, and neither do the docs.
GeckoTerminal counted 12,168 holders in data updated at 14:07 UTC on 4 October. The top 10 wallets held 24.09%, the next ten 10.59% and holders 21 to 40 another 13.24%, and GeckoTerminal doesn't separate pool vaults from ordinary wallets in those shares. Its token data also lists a developer holding of 10.04%. The wallet it names held 0.000001 AGENCY in an RPC read at 14:13 UTC, so the label doesn't match that balance.
Which AGENCY Contract Is the Real One?
Only the mint above is the real AGENCY. A DexScreener search for "agency" at 14:16 UTC on 4 October returned 21 other tokens named Agency among its 30 results. Most of them trade on Arc and Robinhood Chain, and the largest is an Ethereum copy that showed $1.27 million of liquidity. Larp Detective Agency, a 2024 Solana AI token, also trades under the AGENCY ticker from a mint that begins 5UmD. Match the full address before you buy, and ignore the name and the liquidity badge.
How to Buy Agency Safely
Phemex lists no AGENCY spot or futures market. On Solana, the deepest AGENCY pools pair it with SOL, and GeckoTerminal read the three largest between 14:16 and 14:21 UTC on 4 October. The PumpSwap pool that opened at graduation held $569,844, a Meteora pool opened at 08:59 UTC on 2 October held $994,581, and a second Meteora pool held $305,911.
Copy the mint from Agency's own site, which links its token page on the Solscan explorer, and check that it starts with 7Vert and ends in pump. Then trade through one of those three pools, because a fresh pool holding a few hundred dollars moves hard on any order. Set a slippage limit before you sign, since a pool's depth sets the price you get, as our explainer on what a liquidity pool is shows.
What Are the Risks of Agency?
The buyback leans on two coins launched on 3 October
By 14:13 UTC on 4 October CLAUDIA had earned $78,414 in fees and AIDEN $68,086, together 20.8% of everything the platform reports. Both opened their pools on 3 October, and a coin that stops trading stops feeding the buyback.
Heavy volume runs through thin pools
The PumpSwap pool traded $16.06 million on 3 October, 28.2 times the $569,844 it held at 14:16 UTC on 4 October. Its 3 October high was 20.2 times its low, so an order you size for a calm day can fill far from the quote.
One signer and one wallet hold every treasury
Agency's overview describes "one physical wallet, separate economic ownership per coin" and a signer that works as "an isolated service holding the treasury key" for that wallet. Agency runs that service. Its security page, read at 14:14 UTC on 4 October, describes automated tests against a compromised model and names no outside audit.
Minds trade with real money and can get it wrong
A mind can trade and burn with its coin's treasury, and it can also back other Agency coins. Limits cap each action per hour and per day as a share of that treasury, but the FAQ says plainly that "minds can be wrong."
Is Agency a Good Investment?
AGENCY has one built-in source of demand, the 15% buyback, and on the dated numbers it's small beside the price. At the 3 October close, the supply read on 4 October values the token near $13.78 million. That's 162 times the roughly $85,000 the buyback had spent by 14:13 UTC.
If you buy AGENCY, you're betting that its coins keep earning past their first $100 and that new launches follow CLAUDIA and AIDEN. The token fits a trader who wants a small and openly speculative position on AI-run Solana meme coins and who can watch a pool by the hour. It doesn't fit anyone who needs a named team, an outside audit or a price history that starts before 1 October 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can an Agency coin's AI mind rug the people holding it?
The FAQ says a mind "cannot send funds to arbitrary addresses," and every action stays inside fixed limits on its own treasury. The security page adds that the signer pays out only SOL or USDC, and only to wallets that hold the coin on chain when it signs.
How often does Agency claim a coin's creator fees?
AGENCY checks every coin once a minute and claims when at least 0.05 SOL is waiting, or after six hours for smaller amounts. It holds off when the network fee would top 2% of the claim.
Can you buy Agency on Phemex for spot or futures trading?
Phemex's product list, read at 12:20 UTC on 4 October, holds no AGENCY market of either kind. It does list SOL, the token Agency's three largest pools pair against, as a spot pair and as a USDT perpetual.
Who created Agency, and who answers for the platform?
The docs name no team or company in reads between 14:13 and 14:15 UTC on 4 October, and the project posts on X as @tryagency. A coin's model is fixed for life at launch, and if OpenRouter drops it, the mind stops running and is never silently replaced.
Final Thoughts
Agency's own leaderboard changed hands within 14 minutes on 4 October, when Self-Aware Meme passed CLAUDIA by market cap between reads at 14:13 and 14:27 UTC. AGENCY is a running bet on that churn, and its buyback runs only while the platform's coins keep earning fees past their first $100.
