Meanwhile, the U.S. first-quarter core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index annualized rate came in at 4.3%, surpassing the forecast of 4.1% and up from the previous 2.7%. Additionally, the March core PCE price index year-over-year rate was 3.2%, aligning with expectations and rising from the prior 3.0%.
