Standard Chartered's Global Head of Digital Assets Research, Geoff Kendrick, has issued a bullish forecast for Bitcoin and Ethereum, predicting Bitcoin could reach $500,000 and Ethereum $40,000 by 2030. Kendrick suggests Ethereum may outperform Bitcoin, with a potential 20x increase compared to Bitcoin's 7.5x growth. He attributes Ethereum's potential rise to increased institutional adoption and its role as a primary hub for blockchain innovation. Kendrick highlights Ethereum's "first-mover advantage" in traditional finance, noting that institutions often prioritize Ethereum for its stability and reliability. He also points to rising network activity and use cases like DeFi and tokenized assets as key drivers of Ethereum's value. The ETH/BTC ratio, currently around 0.03, is expected to rise, indicating Ethereum's faster value gain relative to Bitcoin.
