Solana is expected to activate the Alpenglow upgrade on its mainnet with version 4.3 in October, after which Jump Crypto’s Firedancer team will stop supporting the transitional validator client Frankendancer. The team said the decision reflects Frankendancer’s maintenance and security burden. Resources will subsequently focus on the full Firedancer client.
