The meme sector led crypto market sectors with a 2.97% gain over the past 24 hours, driven by Pepe (PEPE) surging 14.98% and Pons (PONS) climbing 11.28%. The NFT sector also performed well, rising 2.56%, with Metaplex (MPLX) posting a massive 36.62% jump and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) gaining 3.73%.
Most other sectors posted modest gains: CeFi rose 1.43%, Layer1 gained 1.13%, DeFi climbed 1.02%, and PayFi added 0.87%. Kaspa (KAS) led Layer1 with a 4.71% rise, while Zcash (ZEC) topped PayFi at 4.06%.
In contrast, the AI sector plunged 8.51%, marking its second consecutive day of steep losses. Quack AI (Q) crashed 67.22%, and Akedo (AKE) dropped 30.15%. The Layer2 sector also declined 0.65%, with Stacks (STX) falling 4.47%.
