The review will focus on when miners and stakers must pay taxes on newly created tokens and whether wash sale rules for stocks should apply to digital assets. The Mining and Staking Tax Clarity Act H.R. 9175 would allow miners and stakers to defer taxes until tokens are sold, while the Applying Existing Tax Anti-Abuse Rules to Digital Assets Act H.R. 9172 would extend wash sale and constructive sale rules to actively traded digital assets.
