Scammers are using fake GTA 6 leak websites to trick users into connecting wallets and signing malicious transactions, according to a Malwarebytes report cited on September 3. The sites claim to sell a leaked version of the game for $50 or 1 SOL and deploy a roughly 2.4 MB malicious script designed to identify wallet assets across seven chains: Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and Fantom. Once triggered, the script can immediately transfer assets or secure permissions for later theft of tokens and NFTs, depending on what the victim signs. The report said the malware also checks a visitor's IP address before activation and avoids users in 10 countries, including Armenia and Russia. Malwarebytes urged users to avoid sites claiming to sell leaked copies of GTA 6, review wallet authorization requests carefully, and reject requests seeking full-balance transfers or token access permissions.
