Amazon is reportedly in negotiations to acquire artificial intelligence startup Decart for approximately $7 billion. Decart develops software enabling developers to switch workloads between different AI chips, addressing a key infrastructure challenge in the rapidly evolving AI sector. The potential deal follows Decart's $300 million funding round completed in May at a $4 billion valuation. Anthropic previously conducted due diligence on acquiring the startup for about $6 billion but ultimately abandoned those efforts. Current negotiations between Amazon and Decart have not yet resulted in a final agreement.
