Bitdeer Boosts Bitcoin Production and Expands Global Mining Operations
Bitdeer, a Singapore-based Bitcoin mining company, reported a production of 196 BTC in May, an 18% increase from April. The company is enhancing its global operations by deploying SEALMINER A2 rigs across data centers in the U.S., Norway, and Bhutan, raising its proprietary hashrate to 13.6 exahashes per second (EH/s). Additionally, Bitdeer shipped 1.6 EH/s of SEALMINER A2 units to external customers, reflecting increased demand for its mining hardware.
The company is also expanding its infrastructure, with significant developments in Norway, Bhutan, and Ohio. Bitdeer is entering new markets, preparing a 50 MW site in Ethiopia and acquiring a property in Alberta, Canada, for a natural gas power plant. In May, Tether invested $50 million in Bitdeer for over 5 million shares. The company targets a self-mining capacity of 40 EH/s by October.
