ZKsync has announced the launch of its Atlas upgrade, significantly enhancing Ethereum's capabilities as a real-time capital hub. The upgrade introduces over 15,000 transactions per second (TPS), one-second ZK finality, and near-zero fees, facilitating real-time liquidity interchange between Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) networks. Atlas enables ZKsync-based chains to directly access Ethereum liquidity without the need for separate liquidity pools, fundamentally altering the capital structure between L1 and L2. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin praised ZKsync's contributions to the Ethereum ecosystem as "undervalued but highly valuable."
