XRP Ledger developer Ed Hennis has introduced Amendment 420, aiming to enhance security with a quantum-resistant mechanism. This proposal includes a one-time signature key for each transaction, which is discarded after use, to protect against potential quantum computing threats. The amendment, inspired by Bougalis and Schwartz, adds a `SingleUseKey` field and a recoverable regular key process. However, the implementation may face challenges, such as conflicts with ticket and multi-signature processes, highlighting the complexity of integrating advanced security features.
