X Developers have announced new restrictions on the X API's POST /2/tweets endpoint to combat automated spam replies. Programmatic replies are now only allowed if the original author mentions or quotes the user. Regular posting remains unaffected. This change applies to Free, Basic, Pro, and Pay-Per-Use plans, while Enterprise and Public Utility applications are exempt.
