Crosslink aims to enhance Zcash's proof-of-work consensus by adding a parallel finality layer, which prevents chain reorganization and rollback attacks. This mechanism ensures that confirmed transactions are irrevocable, reducing double-spending risks and improving transaction settlement reliability. Buterin praised Zcash as a trustworthy project committed to privacy, stating that the Crosslink project will enhance Zcash's security and reduce its security budget, supporting its long-term sustainability.
