VeChain and Rekord AG have successfully processed over 100,000 on-chain transactions as part of the EU's Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiative. This project, which supports the EU's Sustainable Product Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR), utilizes VeChain's blockchain to securely store data on product origin, procurement, and sustainability. The collaboration leverages VeChain's energy-efficient VeChainThor blockchain, powered by VET, to enhance data integrity and transaction speed. This development marks significant progress in the real-world application of asset tokenization, demonstrating the potential of blockchain technology in supporting sustainable practices.
