UXLINK has unveiled a contract migration plan, redeeming 1 billion UXLINK tokens at a 1:1 ratio on the Ethereum mainnet. The new contract removes the token burn mechanism, allowing users on centralized exchanges and on-chain to redeem tokens manually or via a web portal. Eligibility for redemption will be based on a snapshot taken during an initial hacker transfer. The first batch of centralized exchange redemptions is expected to complete within 1-5 business days, contingent on exchange response times.
UXLINK is also working to recover assets sold by a hacker through decentralized exchanges, cross-chain bridges, and centralized exchanges. A compensation plan, including potential buyback programs, staking rewards, and trading incentives, will be provided to the community based on recovery progress. An on-chain redemption tool is anticipated to launch within 5 days, with a separate compensation plan for affected users.
