USDT0, Tether's asset interoperability protocol, has unveiled its security architecture following the Kelp security incident. The protocol utilizes a proprietary Decentralized Verification Network (DVN) with message veto power, requiring a 3/3 consensus from three independent validators on distinct codebases for cross-chain message settlement. Current validators include USDT0's DVN, LayerZero, and Canary, with plans to expand to 4/4 and 5/5 mechanisms.
Additionally, USDT0 has implemented rigorous review processes for multisignature transactions, involving internal teams, external security experts, and audit firms. Contracts have been audited by Guardian and OpenZeppelin. To further enhance security, USDT0 has launched a $6 million bug bounty program on Immunefi.
