Core retail sales, which exclude certain volatile items, rose by 0.3% in September, meeting expectations, though the prior month's figure was revised down from 0.7% to 0.6%. Additionally, the retail sales control group, which is used to calculate GDP, declined by 0.1%, missing the forecasted 0.3% increase and also revised from 0.7% to 0.6% for the previous month.
