The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has submitted a committee-level guidance document to the White House, focusing on the application of federal securities laws to certain types of crypto assets and related transactions. This document may establish a token classification system to clarify which crypto assets fall under SEC regulation and which are overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Simultaneously, the CFTC has also submitted regulatory measures concerning prediction markets to the White House. The CFTC plans to explore new industry rules through a notice of proposed rulemaking procedure, aiming to enhance oversight in this sector.
