The U.S. government has confirmed the seizure of 127,271 BTC from Lubian wallets, linked to the Chinese fugitive Chen Zhi and his Prince Group scam network. The seizure, which took place in July 2024, was detailed in a forfeiture notice posted on October 16, 2025, on the government’s forfeiture.gov website. Onchain analysts identified the wallets as belonging to Lubian.com, a now-defunct Chinese mining pool.
The U.S. Treasury and Department of Justice had previously announced the seizure of these funds, which are connected to the fraudulent activities of the Prince Group. The government is currently allowing potential claimants a 60-day period to file claims with the court regarding the seized assets.
