Uniswap has initiated a governance vote to burn 100 million UNI tokens, with the voting period running from December 20 to December 25. Following a two-day lock period, the tokens will be burned. The proposal, submitted by Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, also seeks to activate a fee switch mechanism on the Ethereum mainnet for both v2 and v3, which includes the destruction of UNI and Unichain fees.
