The new version introduces features such as the CLZ instruction and secp256r1 signature verification precompilation. Additionally, it transitions from fastjson to Jackson and migrates node monitoring metrics from InfluxDB to Prometheus. This upgrade significantly boosts TRON's capabilities in smart contract compatibility, interface processing, and node monitoring and management. The upgrade is mandatory, with node operators required to complete the update by August 16, 2026, 23:59 Singapore time, to avoid block synchronization issues. The Event Plugin has also been updated to v3.0.0, necessitating plugin upgrades before node updates for those using official plugins. Nodes with custom plugins should also adapt promptly.
