TRON's Nile testnet has launched a quantum-resistant upgrade, releasing the GreatVoyage-v4.8.2-PQ1-build1 version. This update introduces post-quantum signature capabilities, supporting Falcon-512 and ML-DSA-44 algorithms. These enhancements aim to bolster TRON's security against quantum threats, applicable in transaction signing, SR block signing, P2P relay node handshakes, and TVM contract signature verification.
Developers with Nile testnet nodes are urged to upgrade promptly. However, the new features require proposal votes to be activated on the testnet, and their activation does not imply immediate mainnet deployment.
