A Trinidad man was ambushed and robbed of $85,800 in cash and his phone during a face-to-face cryptocurrency transaction on November 29. The incident occurred in a parking lot as the victim was handing over cash to a partner for a crypto purchase. Two armed assailants approached from both sides of the vehicle, signaled a robbery by tapping on the windows, and quickly fled with the valuables. Local police have launched an investigation into the robbery.
